The Truth Behind the Chronicles<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t

Most chronicles\u2014not only those from the eleventh and twelfth centuries, but arguably ever since scribes first put quill to parchment\u2014are versions of the truth.

Written to order by history\u2019s winners, their purpose was to ensure that their spin on the events of the day was accepted as absolute fact. Monks scribbling in quiet cells, ambitious bishops, great lords, and monarchs alike all conspired to shape events to suit their own narrative and write history as they wished it to be remembered.<\/p>\n\t\t\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n

History-Reimagined\u00ae endeavours to discover the truth behind those ancient narratives. We explore the motives of the patrons who commissioned these chronicles and seek out the missing stories hidden between the official \"facts\" recorded on vellum and sheepskin.<\/p>\n\t\t\n<\/div>\n
